Multimedia Specialist Sr.

2023 - Present

As an accomplished instructional designer actively engaged with the Office of Technology Science, I am entrusted with strategically developing instructor training programs and providing expert guidance to educators grappling with challenges related to Canvas utilization and multimedia integration. Notably, my pivotal role has made significant contributions to the conception and implementation of the cutting-edge HyFlex Classroom model, as well as the groundbreaking Virtual Reality (VR) initiatives pioneered by San Antonio College for the Alamo Colleges. Multimedia Specialist Sr. - Team Lead

2020-2023

As the team lead for the Problem-Based Learning unit, I collaborated with a small group of developers to produce instructional content and simulations for use in the classroom. We utilized various tools, including game development engines and virtual reality headsets. Moreover, I directly assisted instructors in the selection and development of virtual reality experiences that aligned with the required student learning outcomes for their courses.

Multimedia Specialist Sr. - Team Lead

2016-2020

As the team lead for the Department of Creative Multimedia Video Production Unit, I worked closely with a small group of video producers to generate educational video content for the faculty and staff of San Antonio College. My responsibilities also included spearheading Mediasite (video capture system) training for the faculty and staff of the college. During this time, I developed skills in project management, scheduling, course development, and expanded my experience in application training.

As part of my involvement with the Adelante Tejas STEM Grant, I collaborated with instructors to create instructional course materials. Moreover, during the grant's summer institute program, I conducted application training for instructors in areas such as utilizing Google Docs and Microsoft 365.

While working towards my instructional design degree, I directed my attention towards adult learning styles and learning models, as well as educational grant writing and performance optimization procedures. Additionally, I pursued minor studies in educational grant writing and information science.

While pursuing my programming degree, my main areas of focus were front-end web development and UX design. Throughout this period, I acquired skills such as HTML/CSS design, Javascript programming, PHP/MySQL development, and Java & C++ programming.

During my pursuit of a history degree, my primary interests centered on American History and Constitutional Law. I also served as a supplemental instructor for various courses such as Pre-Civil War American History, Texas History, and World Civilizations. This experience allowed me to enhance my educational and communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
